 Pakistan's previous top state leader, Nawaz Sharif, has blamed the country's strong military foundation for undermining his girl Maryam Nawaz, cautioning that assuming anything happens to her Prime Minister Imran Khan and the three top commanders would be answerable for it.

In a video message from London, the PML-N boss said that they (military foundation) have taken steps to "crush" Maryam on the off chance that she doesn't quit (criticizing) them (the military).

Presently you are compromising her that on the off chance that she doesn't stop, she will be crushed. On the off chance that anything happens to her Prime Minister Imran Khan, Army boss Gen. Qamar Javed Bajwa, ISI head Lt. Gen. Faiz Hameed and Gen. Irfan Malik will be capable," the 71-year-old said in the video, which he posted on his Twitter account on Thursday.

Mr Sharif has been in London since November 2019. The Khan government had permitted him to leave the country after the Lahore High Court conceded him bail for quite a long time on clinical grounds.

He was serving a seven-year detainment in Lahore's Kot Lakhpat prison in Al-Azizia Mills debasement case.
